Don’t forget - sexual health clinics also offer advice and information about all matters to do with sexual health, not just treatments for when things have gone wrong! Unsure what to say when you call a clinic? Try this: "I'd like to make an appointment for a sexual health check up please" And they'll take it from there... Some clinics have 'walk in' sessions, but it is usually necessary to telephone and make an appointment. Many clinics now opertate a system where you have to call on a certain day of the week to make an appointment. So be prepared to be told you need to call back on a different day to make a time when you can be seen. It can sometimes take up to 10 before you are seen at the clinic of your choice, but it's usually just a few days. |
